Cover Girl Lash Perfection Mascara Review

I think it's about time I wrote a review on the newest Cover Girl mascara, "Lash Perfection." I just purchased a second tube of this mascara at Ulta today and that is extremely rare for me. I am constantly trying new mascaras so for me to repurchase this...it must be good!
First of all, I have medium length lashes that are pretty straight and definitely not full or fanned out by any means. I really love the Cover Girl Lash Perfection mascara for its ability to separate each individual lash giving a fanned out, feathery full effect, which is exactly what I'm looking for! I don't think this mascara is meant to provide any curl effect, but if I curl my lashes first with an eyelash curler and follow with this mascara it holds the curl all day. I also think it's great for lengthening your lashes without clumping or making your lashes look spidery. I haven't had any flaking or smudging and I love that the brush is not fat like the CG Lash Blast mascara so it reaches and coats the inner lashes and lower lashes really well.
I definitely think this mascara is better for a daytime look and creating a defined lash effect. It doesn't provide any dramatic volume or anything like that so when I am going out on the weekends I will do a second coat over top with Maybelline's One by One mascara.
A description of the mascara says, "Our innovative brush surrounds each lash with our amazing conditioning formula so each lash is individualized and volumized!" What I have noticed is that it really does have some sort of conditioning formula because my lashes do not fall out when I take off my mascara. It keeps them strong and soft...not brittle and breaking off!
Also, I should mention that the brush is made up of rubber bristles which I normally don't like, but the wand and brush are really sturdy unlike Maybelline's Define A Lash wand which is super flimsy and hard to control.
So if any of you are in the market for a mascara that creates feathery full and long lashes then check out Cover Girl's Lash Perfection mascara.

Maybelline One by One Review

I have been using the Maybelline One by One mascara for a couple of months now and I probably should have reviewed it a long time ago, but better late than never. I actually won this mascara as part of a prize pack thing from a YouTube banner creation contest hosted by MacBarbie07. Bethany (aka MacBarbie07) considers it to be one of her favorite mascaras at the moment. For me personally, I find that it is an okay everyday mascara. It doesn't add any volume or curl, but it does add length and definition. I prefer a mascara that gives a more fanned out and full lash look like Maybelline's Full and Soft. Another thing that really bothers me about this mascara is the rubber brush. I really try to avoid rubber mascara wands. Natural bristles tend to grab my lashes better. I also think this mascara flakes. I notice little black specks under my eyes throughout the day and I HATE flakey mascaras! The one plus about this mascara is the bright fun colored tub aaaand I will say it lengthens pretty well. Mascara reviews are very dependent on the individual because everyone's lashes are different...so if a defined and lengthened lash look is what you are after then try out this mascara. 
Overall, if I had to rate Maybelline's One by One mascara out of 5 (5 being the best) I would give it a 2.5. There are way better mascaras out there and also way worst mascaras so it's just average for me.

You can see that it creates long and defined lashes, but had to use my eye lash curler for the missing volume and curl.

Maybelline Full 'N Soft

The best drugstore mascara hands down is Maybelline's Full 'N Soft. I have been using it for years. Sure I try out new mascaras, but Maybelline's Full 'N Soft is like my go-to mascara. It can do no wrong! I always purchase the washable one, but it is also available in waterproof.

The Maybelline website says you will love this mascara for the following reasons:
• Builds full, healthy-looking lashes without the brittle feel
• Prevents loss of lashes with patented Quick Dissolve System that allows easy mascara removal
• Advanced thickening formula with Vitamin E helps to soften and nourish lashes
• No clumps, no globs
• Contact lens safe and hypoallergenic
All of these claims in my opinion are completely true. It definitely makes my lashes appear fuller and natural looking. I find that it's a great mascara for daytime. I also agree that it doesn't make your lashes appear brittle like other mascaras. They are pretty soft to the touch...which means there is no flaking! I love that it has Vitamin E in it because I find that it makes my lashes healthier and I experience less lash loss. I've also never had problems removing this mascara. The most recent tube I purchased actually had more of a wet formula at first, but after a month it was drier and I felt it worked much better that way. The tube is kind of bland looking...it's just black and silver. I know it's trendy for mascaras to come in bright unique packaging now so it's just not as cute. Despite that, I love that it is a natural bristle mascara wand.

I'm not too fond of the rubber bristle wands. I find that the natural bristle wands really grab every little lash. The result is a full lash look. It makes me look like I have more lashes, but in a natural way. Like I said before, it's really great for daytime. If you like a dramatic false lash look then this would not be for you. Oh, and I almost forgot the best part, it's only $6-$7.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator

Hello again! I felt compelled to write a post about the Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara. It's been available in stores now for a couple of months and after seeing Zooey Deschanel on the display I had to try it. Zooey Deschanel is a style icon to me. I pretty much want to be her....hahah. She's gorgeous. Rimmel did a smart thing by making her their spokesperson. CoverGirl is doing a similar thing by featuring Taylor Swift in their ads/displays. Man...their products will probably sell like crazy now. A lot of people love Taylor Swift.

Anyway, let's get on to the review. First off, the packaging is really nice. My favorite color is green so the neon green on top of the black really stood out to me. The brush is great because it has actual bristles...not the weird plastic-y applicators that I see so much of. I find that the natural bristles really grab my lashes better. On the Rimmel website they claim your lashes will "look up to 80% longer, but then after 30 days of continued use, they’ll appear up to 117% longer!" I will definitely agree with the first part of that claim! This mascara lengthens your lashes like crazy. As far as volume goes...not so much. However, it really grabs onto every little lash making them look fanned out and full. The formula was a little wet for my liking though, but after about a month of use it was less wet and I liked it a lot better. The next part of Rimmel's Lash Accelorator claim is that after 30 days your lashes are 117% longer. Well, me and boyfriend have a long standing joke with this because how can something be more than 100%? Isn't 100% complete? I guess they are trying to say if your lashes were completely as long as they could possibly be they will now be 17% longer than that...? I don't know!? But anyway, so after about 4 to 6 weeks of continued use I could tell me lashes were stronger. I noticed less lash loss and some of the smaller lashes towards my inner eye were growing in. I think it was most noticeable on the bottom lash line. I personally don't think it "grows" your lashes, but rather strengthens them...thus allowing them to grow. I would definitely purchase this mascara again, but I'm also curious to try the L'oreal Million Lashes mascara. If anyone has tried that let me know what you think of it!
